October Playlist | Magical Mystery Ballads

september playlist album collage

There is something that is incredibly nostalgic about music from the sixties and early seventies. The landscape of North American culture transformed dramatically. As people fought for political change, free love, and gender equality (to name only a few things) the sixties were revolutionary in every sense of the word, and the art, fashion and music of the era reflected the celebratory yet rebellious spirit of the time. The iconic songs from this decade revolutionized music and the way people thought about and created it. All old things will eventually become new again and I have put together a mix of 1960s classics and covers that are romantically haunting, much like the month of October. Light a few candles, mix yourself a cocktail and slip into a hot bath, while letting your thoughts drift to a much more whimsical, psychedelic time. Coo coo ca choo.
